You should expect a detailed design and estimate before we begin, courteous staff for the duration of your project, and a landscape you can be proud of when we’re through.
How much should I budget for new landscaping?
One of the most difficult aspects of any home improvement endeavor is knowing how much to spend on the project. Because attractive landscaping will increase your home’s value, and dramatically enhance your use and enjoyment of your property, some sources recommend investing 10% of your home’s present value on landscaping. The fact is, a good landscape designer can help you achieve significant improvements on virtually any size budget. The important thing is to decide ahead of time what your budget is, and discuss this with your designer so that they can design for that amount.
Can I have my landscape installed in phases?
Absolutely. Many of our projects are completed in phases as your time and budget allow. We work with you to determine logical phases for installation.
Who will work on my property?
Well trained, supervised personnel with the proper equipment. All employees wear a company uniform.
Are you a licensed Landscaper?
Yes, we hold all the necessary State Licenses for Wisconsin.
Are you insured?
Yes. We are covered for workers compensation, liability and motor vehicle.
Do you offer warranties or guarantees for the work that you do?
Yes. All of our projects come with a warranty that is accompanied with our contracts.
What if some of the plantings die or if there is a problem after construction?
You are protected by the warranties and guarantees that our company provides.
May I see a list of references or see actual projects that you have completed?
Yes. We encourage you to contact our references.
Is there a charge for estimates?
No, we do not charge for estimates of any maintenance services or landscape work. We evaluate the project and give you a free of charge estimate of what it could cost.
I have lots of ideas. How will I be involved in the design process?
Our objective is to help you take your ideas and grow them into the landscape of your dreams. To do so we works collaboratively to determine which services best suit your needs, budge and timetable, based on your goals for outdoor living space. Mike has also worked successfully with architects, engineers, soils specialists, arborists, builders and interior designers.
What if I don’t like something you suggest?
Ideally, the design process is collaborative so that we work together to create a place of beauty and personal meaning especially for you. We listen carefully to your ideas and vision for the property and obtain as much input as possible from you about your goals, lifestyle and likes/dislikes through our dialog. The more information you give me upfront, the better, i.e. photos you have collected of favorite gardens, plants, furniture, containers, etc. We then work to create a garden setting that meets your goals, reflects your aesthetic tastes and complements your house architecture and site character.
What will it take to maintain the investment I have just made in my new garden?
Even if you have requested a “low maintenance” garden, every garden requires some tender loving care to help it grow in and achieve its intended beauty. This can usually be accomplished with a combination of regular weekly maintenance and specialty services provided as needed throughout the year.
Proper maintenance of your garden includes water management through the seasons by adjusting your sprinkler timeclock, monitoring your irrigation system for coverage and repairs/adjustments needed, pruning young trees and shrubs for structure, deadheading perennials, weeding, periodic fertilization and bed clean-up (especially in the spring and fall).
